I am Jonathan Owen, an event photographer in Essex, capturing natural, candid moments for parties, corporate events and celebrations across Southend, Leigh on Sea, Chelmsford, Colchester and London.

Over the last twenty years I have photographed events across Essex, London and beyond, from countryside family days and community events along the Southend seafront through to larger corporate nights at venues such as the Emirates Stadium and The O2 Arena.

How do you work on the day?
My job is to blend in and let the event unfold naturally. I move quietly, keep an eye on what is happening and only step in to organise a quick group photo when you have asked for it. Most people forget I am there after the first few minutes, which is exactly how I like it.
How far do you travel for events?
I am based in Leigh on Sea and most of my work is as an Essex event photographer, covering Southend on Sea, Chelmsford, Colchester, Rayleigh and the surrounding areas. Travel within the Southend on Sea borough is included. For events further afield I usually add a simple per mile travel cost, and we can confirm this when you share your venue details.
How much does event photography in Essex cost?
Event photography for most bookings in Essex starts from £150 for the first hour, with many events running for two or three hours. Once I know your date, venue and timings I will give you a clear, tailored quote. A 30% deposit secures the date, with the remaining balance due on the day for private events. How quickly will we receive the photos?
Typical delivery is around two weeks, usually within one to three weeks depending on the size of the event and my workload. Your images are delivered in a secure online gallery where you can download everything in full resolution and share the link with guests. I have been photographing events since 2003, from Dartmouth Regatta, where my event work won the official photography prize, through to corporate evenings at the Emirates Stadium and The O2 Arena, as well as countless parties and celebrations across Essex.
