I’m Jonathan, a photographer based in Leigh-on-Sea. I photograph birthday parties, family celebrations, business events and weddings, as well as personal portraits. My approach is relaxed and observant: I look for the people, reactions and small details that tell the story, with group photographs and a little direction whenever you want them.

Events are a large part of my work, but the right service depends on what you’re planning. These starting points take you to the coverage and options that fit.

Parties, birthdays, anniversaries, community occasions and business events. I capture the atmosphere as well as the speeches, people and details. One hour starts at £150.

Short & Simple coverage starts at £225 for one hour. For a longer day, full wedding packages start at £695 for up to four hours, with family groups and couple portraits shaped around your plans.

Relaxed sessions for individuals, couples and families. A 30-minute session includes five edited photographs for £75, with longer options when you want more time.

Practical one-to-one help with your camera, light and composition. Choose a one-hour lesson for £90 or three hours for £185. There’s also a dedicated Leigh street-photography lesson.
Celebrations and business events
A first birthday has a different rhythm from a busy evening reception or a company celebration. I plan around the occasion rather than making every booking feel like the same photoshoot. You can enjoy your guests while I look for the conversations, reactions and atmosphere you might otherwise miss.
Coverage can include arrivals, décor, speeches, presentations, dancing and the quieter moments between them. Tell me about any must-have people or photographs beforehand, and we can include organised groups without losing the flow of the event.
For a birthday or anniversary, explore party photography. For launches, networking or a team celebration, see corporate event photography. A gala or formal dinner has its own black-tie photography route. I bring backup equipment, record to dual memory cards and securely back up the photographs after the shoot. Event coverage starts at £150 for one hour; the event price list shows the longer options.

I’ve photographed weddings at Leigh Community Centre and The Boatyard, as well as charity-event coverage at The Boatyard. Those are different occasions with different priorities: the ceremony and family photographs at a wedding, or the guests and activity at a fundraiser.
That experience is useful when we talk through your plans. Rather than prescribing a long list of photographs, I’ll ask what matters to you, when it happens and how the day moves between spaces. Your venue does not need to be one I’ve photographed before.

I’ve been photographing people for over 20 years, and I live in Leigh-on-Sea. My local work includes weddings at Leigh Community Centre and The Boatyard, alongside parties and other celebrations. I enjoy the mix: the important moment everyone is waiting for, and the small interaction that becomes a favourite afterwards.
If you’re uncomfortable in front of a camera, you do not need to arrive knowing how to pose. I’ll give you guidance where it helps and space to be yourself. You’ll deal directly with me through the enquiry, photography and editing, so the priorities we discuss stay part of the job.

Yes. I can include family, friends or team groups alongside the photographs of the event as it unfolds. Tell me about important groups beforehand so we can make time for them.
Start with the moments you want photographed: arrivals, speeches, cake, awards or dancing. A shorter booking can suit one part of an occasion; a longer booking tells more of the story. Send your rough timetable and I’ll help you choose.
Standard event galleries are delivered within 7–10 working days depending on workload at the time. If you need the complete edited gallery sooner, a three-working-day option is available for £100 where agreed before booking.
