Give the event your attention
Planning an event usually means a fair amount of organising. Once everyone arrives, you should be able to enjoy it or look after your guests without also trying to photograph everything.
As a Brentwood event photographer, I cover birthdays, anniversary parties and private celebrations, alongside restaurant functions, charity occasions, proms and corporate events. I work around the event as it unfolds, watching for the interactions, expressions and details that give the photographs their character.
There is room for organised photographs too. If you want a family group, a picture of the whole team or a few photographs with particular guests, we can plan them alongside the natural coverage. You choose the balance.

My photography experience in Brentwood includes Yiamas in Pilgrims Hatch and Sugar Hut. I’ve also photographed at Merry Lakes in Hutton, alongside work at venues and private events throughout Essex.
The useful part of that experience is knowing how much the setting can change the job. At a restaurant function, conversations around the tables may matter just as much as a speech. For a party, the atmosphere can change completely once the music starts. At a business event, you may need photographs that are useful for several different marketing channels.
We’ll agree the priorities for your own booking: the people you want photographed, the moments to be ready for and any practical access or venue requirements. If your plans span more than one location, send the rough schedule so we can allow for the move.

I’ve photographed professionally since 2003, and I’m comfortable moving between a busy celebration and the quieter moments around it. For your Brentwood booking, that means keeping the important photographs in mind without making every guest feel they are on a photoshoot.
Beforehand, I’ll help you work out the coverage and the practical details. On the day, I’ll work with your plans and the people in front of me. Afterwards, I personally select and edit the photographs, so the finished gallery follows the priorities we discussed.

I cover birthdays, anniversaries, engagement parties, baby showers, christenings, restaurant functions, corporate events, conferences, awards, proms, charity occasions, community events and live music. Wedding bookings have their own service options on my wedding photography page.
Yes. Private homes and marquee events can be covered as well as restaurants, offices and hired venues. Tell me about the space, timings and anything important about access or the event setup so I can plan around it.
Yes. We can agree any family, friends or team photographs you want and fit them around the rest of the event. Groups can also be requested on the day. You decide how much organised photography you would like alongside the natural coverage.
Yes. Send the schedule and a short list of priority people, groups or moments. For business events, I can also work with relevant brand guidelines. I’ll make reasonable efforts to cover the priorities within the time and access available.

Standard coverage starts at £150 for one hour. Two hours is £230, three hours is £305 and four hours is £380. Selection, editing and your private download gallery are included. I’ll confirm the total for your own booking after receiving the location and timings. See the full price list for other durations.
Start with the moments you want covered: guest arrivals, speeches, food, a cake, entertainment or the dancefloor. Send the rough running order and I can help you choose a suitable duration. You do not need to book the whole event if you only want coverage of part of it.
Send the date, location, approximate timings and type of event. I’ll check availability and send a quote. For a standard private event booking, a 30% deposit secures the booking, with the remaining balance due on or before the event day. Business payment arrangements can be agreed separately.
Yes. Share what you know so far, even if some details are still being worked out. I usually reply within one working day. Short-notice bookings depend on availability and workable timings, so send the date and plans and I’ll check.
Qualifying charity bookings receive 25% off the applicable quoted total. Include the organisation and its charitable status when you enquire.

Event galleries are delivered within 7–10 working days depending on workload at the time. If you have a deadline, mention it before booking. Where agreed, the complete gallery can be delivered within three working days for an additional £100.
You’ll receive a private, password-protected online gallery. Individual photographs or the complete gallery can be downloaded at full quality. You can share the link and password with anyone you want to give access to the photographs.
Yes. The standard business licence covers your own website, social media, PR, recruitment, internal communications, event promotion and normal business marketing. Larger campaigns, unrelated third-party advertising, resale or image-library use should be discussed and agreed first.
Yes. I hold £5 million public liability insurance and £1 million professional indemnity insurance, with a current certificate available on request. I carry backup equipment, record to dual memory cards and securely back up photographs after the shoot.
