Event Photography Packages FAQ

How far in advance do I need to book event photography with you?

The earlier you book my event photography services, the more likely your date will be available. Ideally I’d like the minimum of 2 weeks notice, just in case I have personal plans I need to adjust.

Are there any types of event you don't cover?

None that I can think of, I am open to all styles of event within reason, if in doubt ask and I’ll be happy to discuss.

What deposit do I need to give to secure my event date?

A 30% deposit will secure your date, this is a non-refundable deposit in the event of cancellation.

Where are you based?

I am based in the seaside town of Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, just down the road from Southend-on-Sea.

Do you do posed photos?

My style tends to be un-posed and natural shots, however I will happily grab a group shot of event attendees if asked, and don’t mind taking larger group shots with a little assistance from event staff/organisers should that be required. Ideally I like to capture natural moments which are un-staged.

How would you describe your event photography style?

My event photography is influenced by the reportage style, which comes from photojournalism. This method focuses on capturing the event as it happens, aiming for natural and candid shots rather than staged ones. My approach is to be as unobtrusive as possible, blending into the background to make sure everyone feels at ease. This helps me to capture the genuine emotions and spontaneous moments that often go unnoticed.

I pay close attention to not just the main events, but also the reactions and the overall atmosphere, ensuring that the photos tell a comprehensive story of the day. My goal is to be discreet and considerate, capturing the essence of the event without intruding on the experience. Overall, my photography aims to provide a genuine and authentic snapshot of your event, focusing on the natural moments and emotions to create a collection of images that truly reflect the day.

Can I book you the day before an event?

If I am free from bookings and personal commitments it can be done, please contact me to find out.

Are there any areas you don't cover?

Although my main area for photography is in Essex, I cover any area as long as my travel expenses are covered, for anywhere within the Southend-on-Sea borough (Leigh-on-Sea to Shoeburyness) travel is free. For anywhere outside of that I charge £1 per mile.
