To quote accurately and keep things simple, I mainly look at:

- Location and travel: timing, travel time, plus practical needs like parking or accommodation if required
- Event type: what’s happening, how fast paced it is, and what matters most to you
- Corporate usage: if the images are for business use or specific channels, tell me up front so it’s covered properly
- Deadlines: if you need a fast turnaround or you have a hard delivery date, mention it when you enquire

What you get for the money
I’ve been photographing events professionally since 2003, with a calm, discreet approach that focuses on real moments, reactions, and atmosphere.
On the practical side, I’m public liability insured, I shoot with backup equipment, and I use dual card recording so images are saved to two cards as I work. After the event, files are backed up securely.
You’ll receive your photos via a private online gallery, with high resolution downloads and print options.

How much do you charge for event photography?

How long should I book you for?

What deposit do I need to pay?
A 30% deposit secures the date in my diary, ideally this should be paid as soon as possible to confirm the booking.
When do I pay the remaining balance?
For private clients, the remaining balance will be due before or on the day of the booking. For commercial clients, I can invoice and payment is due within 30 days.
Is travel included?
Travel is included in your tailored quote. Because every job is different, I price travel per booking, factoring in the location, timing, travel time, and practical requirements such as parking or accommodation where needed, so you see the total cost upfront.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes, a 25% discount for registered charities, I’m always happy to support a good cause.
How is corporate photography priced, and what about usage rights?
Corporate photography follows the same pricing approach as my event photography. Once I know the date, location, how long you need covered, and the kind of images you need, I will come back to you with a tailored quote showing the total cost upfront.
