Softwire AI conference photography at St Mary’s, Marylebone
It was good to be back with Softwire for their AI conference on 9 October 2026. This time the setting was St Mary’s Church in Marylebone, London: a beautiful backdrop with quite a contrast to the cutting-edge nature of the talks.
Softwire are a regular event client, and Freya and Nayi had once again put a huge amount of work into making everything run smoothly. I photographed the event as it unfolded, from the talks and activities through to food, drinks and the conversations later in the evening.

“We had the absolute pleasure of working with Jonathan for our corporate festival, and he was fantastic from start to finish! He captured the atmosphere, energy and all the little moments of the event so beautifully. The photos are amazing and really bring the whole weekend back to life. Would 100% recommend!”
Talks, activities and the people between them
The conference photographs bring together speakers, wider views of the room and the audience listening, laughing and applauding. Closer photographs at the activity tables show another side of the event, with notebooks, building materials and a few rubber ducks making their way into the collection.
The later images follow the conversations and refreshments, including canapés being served. Select a photograph to view it larger. You can find out more about the company at Softwire.
A familiar team in a distinctive conference setting
The people at Softwire are always great to work with, and the setup and coordination were excellent. Returning to photograph their events means I get to see the different ways the team brings people together, whether that’s a summer festival or an afternoon of talks and discussion.
There were games, drinks and amazing food as well as the conference sessions. They even made sure I had some canapés, which was very welcome. Those moments around the programme matter in the photographs too: people sharing an idea, enjoying an activity or catching up after a talk.
St Mary’s gave the photographs a strong sense of place, with the church interior around the presentations and the people taking part. For your own conference or company event, explore my corporate photography services and event photography prices, then tell me about your venue and programme.

Behind the camera
The Essex photographer behind this London conference collection
I’m Jonathan Owen, an Essex photographer working professionally since 2003. For your conference, I photograph speakers and presentations alongside the audience, activities and conversations that bring the event together.
You can plan the coverage with me directly, including the programme, key people and any group photographs you need. I personally select and edit the finished images, giving you a collection that connects the formal sessions with what happens around them.
