NHS Shine Awards 2026 at Stock Brook Manor
It was great to be back at Stock Brook Manor for the NHS Shine Awards on 8 October 2026. Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust’s annual celebration recognises its staff and volunteers, and the evening gave me a glimpse of how much work goes on behind the scenes.
My photography followed the evening from guests arriving and talking over drinks to award celebrations, group portraits and dancing as the DJ brought the night towards its close. I was really pleased to help capture an occasion celebrating people whose work makes such a difference.
From arrivals to the evening celebrations
The photographs begin around the venue and reception, then move into the dinner room, the stage and the reactions around the tables. Certificate portraits and a larger group photograph sit alongside those smaller moments of conversation, laughter and applause.

Returning to a familiar Essex event venue
The events team were professional and the evening was very well organised. Stock Brook Manor, near Billericay in Essex, was once again a great venue to work at, with space for arrivals, photographs together and the celebrations that followed.
For me, the people around the tables are as much a part of an awards evening as what happens at the lectern. A shared laugh, applause for a colleague or someone showing their certificate to a friend helps tell the story alongside the formal photographs.
