Redrow Eastern’s charity gala at Hatfield Place

Redrow Eastern’s gala at Hatfield Place on 18 September 2026 brought together local tradespeople, developers and guests for an evening raising money for a childhood cancer charity. It was a great turnout, with a beautifully presented venue and plenty happening around the room.

My coverage combined group portraits at the branded arrival backdrop with natural photographs throughout the evening. The auction, raffle and live band gave the collection a lively progression from the welcome through to the celebrations later on.

Arrival portraits, fundraising and the evening atmosphere

The photographs begin with the room and the groups at the entrance, then move amongst the tables for conversations, dinner and the fundraising activities. There are reactions to the presenter, laughter between guests and closer details from the evening.

The later photographs follow the live band and guests enjoying the dance floor. Select an image to view it larger. Hatfield Place is near Hatfield Peverel, close to Chelmsford in Essex.

Photographing the welcome and the moments between the tables

I enjoyed the balance between the step-and-repeat group photographs as people arrived and moving around the main room as the event unfolded. The entrance portraits gave guests a chance for a photograph together, while the dinner and entertainment brought out plenty of unplanned moments.

The venue was very well laid out, the band was great and there were some amusing moments during the auction and raffle. The reactions around the tables were a big part of the evening to photograph, alongside the people leading the fundraising.
