I photograph birthdays, private parties, corporate events, awards, proms, charity occasions, live music and community events. My approach is mostly observational, with time for groups and a little direction wherever it helps. You choose the balance.

My work in and around Chelmsford includes Ladies Day at Chelmsford City Racecourse in Great Leighs, photography at Hylands House, and Essex Roller Derby at Riverside Leisure Centre. These are very different occasions, with different priorities for the photographs.
At a private celebration, you might want a record of the guests and the time you spent together. For a company event, the useful set may also need speakers, branding, activities and images for your next announcement. I’ll find out what the photographs need to do before the day, then work around the actual schedule.

Yes. Groups can be planned beforehand, requested on the day or suggested when they would add to your photographs. You can choose how much organised photography you want alongside coverage of the event as it happens.

Start with the parts of the event you want photographed and their expected times. Allow for arrivals, any speeches or awards, group photographs and the celebrations afterwards. If there are several venues or gaps in the schedule, send me the outline and I’ll help you plan suitable coverage.
Standard non-wedding event galleries are delivered within 7–10 working days, depending on workload at the time. If you have a deadline, let me know before booking. A complete gallery within three working days is available for an additional £100 where agreed.
I personally select and edit the photographs, then send you a private, password-protected online gallery. You can download individual images or the complete gallery at full quality and share the link and password with anyone you want to give access. If the print and ordering service is requested, optional products and prices are shown in your gallery.
Yes. The standard business licence covers your own website, social media, PR, internal communications, recruitment and normal business marketing. Mention larger campaigns, resale or unusual third-party use before booking so we can agree what you need.
Yes. I’m DBS checked and currently hold £5 million public liability insurance and £1 million professional indemnity insurance. A current insurance certificate is available on request for your venue or organiser. I carry backup equipment, record to dual memory cards and back up your photographs after the shoot.
Send your event date, venue or town, and approximate start and finish times, along with any important requirements. I usually reply within one working day to confirm availability and a quote. Your booking is secured when the 30% deposit is received, with the balance due on or before the day unless different business payment terms have been agreed.
